"Emdogein" represents a preparation with biological structure which promotes prognosticated restoration of the firm and soft tissues, that were lost in a result of Parodontium diseases.
More than in 40 clinical researches consisting of 1500 intraosteal periodontics defects, it was proved, that "Emdogein" is an effective growth factor at a process of new periodontics attachments formation in:

Soft tissues – the measured attachment level, reducing pathological pocket depth.
- Firm tissues – the proved gain of alveolar bone.


A year later after the treatment with "Emdogein" usage at a X-ray inspection the average index of osteal tissue growth showed the result of 60-70 %.

Repeated references The result consisting of 53 repeated references, in a year after the spent treatment, consists in reduction of depth gingival pocket on 4.94 mm that makes 74 % of defect filling with healthy tissue, and its restoration on 83.2 %.

The Emdogein® action mechanism
In Periodontics, "restoration" means a process of long epithelial cells formation. At "Neogenesis" the structure and function parodontium are recreated. It means that new cement with new fixed gomphosis fibers should be generated.
The "Emdogain" action regenerative mechanism consists in process stimulation of a tooth similar to development in an embryogenesis.

Right after applications throughout several seconds, proteins and amelogenins are activated in "Emdogain" preparation and the matrix layer on a root surface is formed.
After the flap is laid on a place, parodontal defect is filled with a clot consisting of fibrin and erythrocytes.
Later the clot is replaced with granulation tissue. This tissue serves as a stroma for a wound repair and neogenesis.
Then "Emdogain" matrix layer stimulates attraction and proliferation of mesenchymal cells from healthy part of the tissues, which surrounds tooth. Cells allocate specific cytokines and the substances promoting a necessary proliferation.
Attachment: These conditions provide optimum environment that stromal cells could take places on a root surface.
From this point of view stromal cells are differentiated in cementoblasts and starts to form a cement matrix in which gomphosis fibers will be fixed.
The new cement layer generated by "Emdogain" thickens and dilates gomphosis fibers. In the meantime parodontal defect is filled by again generated gomphosis tissue.
According to the process described above, the new alveolar bone grows on a surface of a root and in the bone's defect field. Hence, gomphosis' space reaches the physiological width.
Unique "Emdogain" action consists that it promotes process development similar to volume which takes place at formation parodontium.
The preparation promotes a reconstruction of difficult tooth structures. It means, that tissues keeping tooth regenerate, and thus parodontium defect are closed with function restoration.
Wound repair optimisation is the important factor for smooth and fast neogenesis. It can be promoted by additional antibacterial effect of "Emdogain" preparation.
