Tooth cyst is an inflammatory formation of a dense form capsule, which is formed as a reaction to infection for its spreading limitation. In most cases, the cyst is formed in the tooth root.
REASONS OF TOORH CYST FORMATION
The following main reasons for the tooth cyst formation are identified. Different traumas and tooth infections preceding its appearing. With wrong teeth treatment, pathogens penetrate into the tooth root canal. In some cases, the cyst is formed as a result of a launched sinus or oral cavity infectious diseases. Herewith pathogens get inside a gum through blood vessels.Tooth cyst is a kind of antrum formation which is lined with epithelium. Cyst wrapper is formed by a connective tissue. Tooth has a root canal, through which the disease-causing germs and pathogens can get directly into the bone tissue. Of course, for this there should be appropriate conditions, namely, the presence of a large antrum in the tooth, which is like a gateway for the infection and a reason for the pulpitis occurrence.
In most cases, tooth cyst is absolutely painless. The patient starts to feel the disease, when a dead gum tissue, which is washed by saliva, creates good conditions for the bacteria development which, while trying to penetrate into the bone, meet on their way a defensive response in the form of formed cysts. Such a capsule of connective tissue grows around the pocket of infection and isolates it from the healthy bone tissues. Inside the cyst there are immune system cells which bravely fight with bacteria from the root canal.
However, this can't last forever. Follicular cyst is like a "time bomb". When the cyst is inflamed, it gives a rise to a suppurative process in bone tissue, and as a consequence, starts a flux development. A usual result of this is a tooth removal. You shouldn't allow this.
Currently, there are therapeutic and radical - surgical ways of tooth cyst treatment. In the diagnosis of "chronic apical Periodontitis" there is possibility of inflammation's focus withdrawal without tooth removing. Even if you do not feel any pain in the tooth, you shouldn't delay cyst treatment anyway.
It must be remembered that the cyst's growth leads to the destruction of healthy bone tissue. Timely identified tooth cyst guarantees tooth preservation and pain absence. Pain, high temperature and flux show that the disease is developing during long time.
